Our Philosophy

If it’s not doing good for the world, what’s the point?

We believe in the idea of leaving the world better than we found it.

For us, this means prioritizing things like accessibility, equity, sustainability, and hospitality. We believe “hospitable design” is design that puts people and community first. It addresses their needs and makes people feel seen, heard, and that they belong. We believe in creating this world because it is the world we want to live in. This is where we’ve drawn our proverbial line in the sand.

We give a damn. All the damns. And we like clients that do, too.

Over the years, we’ve been incredibly lucky to build a client base that thinks and feels similarly. We initially thought “hospitable design” was reserved solely for hospitality businesses. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that hospitality can exist in every corner of every industry. We now have worked with clients ranging from food & beverage to commercial painters that know the value of putting the interest and well-being of their people first.

We also know that we’re still human (one human, in fact).

We know we won’t get it right every time. We know we’ll stumble and maybe even fall. We know we can’t be the best, but we will most definitely try our best. We believe stumbling at doing the right thing is better than succeeding at doing the wrong thing or doing nothing at all. We value our community that checks us on our shit and shows us grace.

Thank you for being here with us, too.
